Abstract

This article aims to explore the implementation of a quality assurance system (SIMINTAS) using the ISO 9001:2015 standard. One of the quality assurances is carried out on the UT Distance Learning System Tutorial Service. There is a site quality assurance methodology in the three Distance Learning Program Units of the Open University (UPBJJ-UT) to the three sites of UPBJJ-UT Malang, UPBJJ-UT Surabaya, and UPBJJ-UT Jember in East Java. The facilities provided are in the form of observations and interviews in accordance with the technicalities of each cycle of the development process. This helps better orientation towards the expected product quality so as to produce tutorial services according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This study found that the three UPBJJ-UT sites in East Java (UPBJJ-UT Malang, UPBJJ-UT Surabaya, UPBJJ-UT Jember) had implemented the quality assurance process well. This process includes planning, implementation process, evaluation, and the model developed in the tutorial.
